    H&S has an immediate opportunity for an Account Director to join our team, working across several lifestyle brands including a leading online travel site and multiple hotels. Our ideal candidate would have strong account management experience, stellar media relation skills with strong contacts, and a deep understanding of trends across various verticals including lifestyle, business and tech.

     

    They should have the capability to perform a wide range of duties including development of client programs, strategic planning, staff development, and financial management. This person will also serve as key liaison with their clients, account teams, and agency management.

    About the Job

    • Drive effective implementation of projects, identify appropriate resources, and delegate work appropriately. Manage clients, people, and projects, deliver highest quality work on time and on budget.
    • Act as primary contact to client and play key role in managing account and provide account oversight.
    • Integrated marketing experience, comfortable speaking to/working across all marketing channels (e.g. PR, events, advertising, celebrity, social media, trade, etc.) to develop and sell in “big ideas.”
    • Conduct measurement analysis and work with the team to deliver in-depth recaps following each program with emphasis on ROI and delivering upon KPIs.
    • Provide strategic guidance to clients, anticipate needs and issues, troubleshoot problems.
    • Experience executing influencer partnerships and paid editorial partnerships.
    • Coordinate with global agencies.
    • Take a leadership role in seeking new business opportunities, the pitching process, and networking. Introduce clients to new capabilities and display strong presentation skills during client pitches. 
    • Manage account financials including but not limited to budget allocation and control, timesheets, client billing, supplier invoicing, projections and purchase orders.
    • Manage performance drive accountability for self and others.
    • Communicate clear, progressive direction. Approach management from a coaching perspective.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or related field
    • 8+ of experience in a public relations agency or similar position in a non-agency setting
    • 3+ years in a managerial role
    • Highly creative with an expertise in strategy, events, and digital experiences
    • Demonstrated understanding of digital and social media spaces
    • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop big picture ideas and long-term solutions/plans
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, on time and within budget, in a high-performance agency setting
    • Ability to spot digital trends and insights and share with teams to mobilize, develop, and motivate
    • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to creative development
    • Strong writing and presentation skills
    • Willing to travel and work afterhours client events
